Altered Book Club Join us as we continue exploring the publication, “Altered Book Workshop” to learn altered book techniques. I will complete an example two-page spread in my own book/theme demonstrating the technique of the month prior to the Club meeting. At the meeting, you can choose to replicate my project in your book/theme, or get creative and venture on your own, completing a two-page spread pertaining to the current month's technique. The evening will allow you to get a jump start on your assignment, and you'll have until the next Club meeting (approx. 4 weeks) to complete your project on your own time. Don't worry, I'm reachable to help guide you through the process or give advice if you need it, but I look forward to seeing what your creativity leads you to on your own! Lots of mediums to try are included in your class fee along with paints, gessos, textures, and sometimes ephemera and trinkets! Registration for this club is required and you can join our club at any time. July’s Technique: Cutting Windows and August’s Technique: Folding Pages.

Graphic 45 Vintage Recipe Album This two-part class is a repeat from May and June brought back by popular demand! This class will be scheduled in September and October 2010. We'll use a Bo Bunny 9x9 Naked Binder with six chipboard tabbed pages inside and decorate it with Graphic 45's "Domestic Goddess" line of papers and embellishments. I've added adorable QuicKutz diecuts in food/recipe/kitchen theme to complete the project! Can't make one or both of the classes? Don't worry! The kits for this album will include good pictures and all the papers and diecuts are cut for you, so it will be easy to put together on your own time. If you are interested in this class, please let us know and we'll put you on a list, contacting you again when the classes are scheduled on the September/October calendars toward the end of August. This will give us a general idea of how many to order supplies for and as you can see, with all the diecuts and papers, it takes extra time to put together the kits---any early notice for me will give me appropriate time to get the kits put together timely and properly!
Class Cost $45.00 Instructor: Tobey
Photos below show front cover, inside of binder open flat without tabbed pages in the rings and only the fronts of three of the tabbed pages. The original is in the store if you wish to see it in person and see the rest of the pages. Both front and back of all the tabbed pages are fully decorated, but not all shown.
“It’s A Grid Thing” (Mosaic Technique) Have you seen the layout samples we have in the store with photos being cut into different sizes and shapes and then reassembled to create a 2 page layout. This technique is called mosaic scrapbooking. I will warn you, once you learn to do this you will want to do more! The cost of this class includes the tools to continue the process which are nearly equal to the cost of the class. This class’s theme will be either fireworks or fresh-picked veggies.
Class Cost $50.00 Instructor: Shirley Already know how to do Mosaics? Anyone wishing to take the class as a refresher, or just for the sake of doing a new layout, may do so. Cost $15
Shirley's layout will differ from the photo below (taken from Wish In The Wind's website) but this gives you a quick peek at what a Mosaic Layout looks like if you haven't seen one before!
